"My purpose as an Artist found me when I was searching desperately for a place that felt like home. I found myself painting to process emotion, illustrating to capture moments, and creating from a place where I spoke so naturally, but I had no words. Art is the language of my heart."

Jessi Rae has enjoyed working as an Art Educator since graduating college in 2014 with a BFA and license to teach. After teaching in the mountains of Vermont for 6 years she found herself pregnant with her first daughter, Olivia, and self-publishing and illustrating a memoir, "Healing HeART". The following year, 2021, Jessi, her partner Dillon and Olivia set out on another big adventure to Austin, Texas. She has taught Art Education in Texas and continues to pursue her purpose through Art-making.

 

Jessi creates heartfelt commissions capturing moments through watercolor and pen and ink. Each piece is personalized for her customers using meaningful symbolism and design elements. She continues to sell copies of "Healing HeART" to provide a story and tool for healing through grief and loss. Her creative journey continues to unfold offering new inspiration and opportunities to continue growing.
